With a wealth of experience on the water and in the real estate industry, I’m thrilled to join the Knot10 yacht sales team. For over a decade, I’ve honed my skills owning a real estate brokerage, navigating the complexities of property transactions and fostering lasting relationships with clients. My passion for boating goes beyond recreation; it’s a way of life. Over the years, I’ve accumulated invaluable knowledge and expertise in operating and maintaining boats, making me an ideal guide for discerning boat buyers. Now, as a dedicated member of the Knot10 family, I’m excited to leverage my expertise to assist clients in finding their dream yachts and embarking on unforgettable adventures on the open water.

Tom Leiper has been an entrepreneur, inventor, and pioneering sales master with over forty years of experience primarily in the medical imaging and informatics industry. Even before driving age he apprenticed building and blueprinting high-performance race engines and drive trains, foundational knowledge and experience that served him well years later as a pilot and boat owner.

Awarded eight patents, including a patent for the Sherlock® Marine Surveyor Percussion Sounding Hammer, and having been involved in many interesting technical fields over the years there is little he does not understand about how things work.

More importantly, having closed over 200 deals in the past six years he knows what to do when things do not work, whether those be difficulties with a vessel, a deal, or those involved in the deal.

In short, Tom is a problem solver, and as one whose success has been marked by exquisitely satisfying the needs of his customers, Tom has brought his experience and innovative skill set to this avocation, helping boaters become better boaters with better boats, with the same dedication as he has with every other endeavor, the most common feedback among his many clients and associates being that he is “Unlike any other boat broker they have ever known.”

Growing up on Long Island’s South Shore, Bob developed a passion for boats and the boating lifestyle. He and his family enjoy cruising the Great South Bay and spending weekends in Fire Island marinas on their Formula 40PC.

Originally, as a Knot 10 customer, Bob experienced both the buying and selling processes through the eyes of the client. He was very impressed with our team and how smoothly everything went which is part of the reason he chose to work for Knot 10.

Bob is a detail-oriented mechanical engineer with 30 years of experience in sales, high-level customer service, and business management.

With his background, strong communication, negotiating skills, and determination, Bob can help you find the right boat, or the right buyer while providing an enjoyable customer experience.

Summer Carmi is a Closing Coordinator at Knot 10, where she plays a key role in guiding transactions smoothly through the closing process. She brings valuable experience from the housing title industry, along with a strong background in finance and customer support. Known for her attention to detail and client-focused approach, Summer is committed to ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all parties involved. She takes pride in helping clients feel informed and confident throughout the closing process.

Outside of work, Summer enjoys spending time with her husband, her five children, and her 9 dogs.

Nate was born and raised in Southern California.  He grew up boating all along the west coast from the waters off of Mexico all the way up to Alaska.  As an avid fisherman he regularly spent weeks at a time on the water and offshore.  Nate moved to the east coast in 2012 and has been a part of the boating community ever since.  From the Great Lakes to the Caribbean, Nate has spent as much time on the water as possible.  He has owned dozens of boats throughout his journey and looks forward to sharing his experience with people excited about the water. Nate lives in Davidsonville MD and enjoys boating with his family and coaching.

Martin Johnson has been on the water since a young child on his father’s ocean-racing sailboat running up and down the southeast coast. He has been an avid boater ever since, running center consoles for pleasure and for work for his marine construction company that operated in the Southeast and the Caribbean. Being a Charleston native, he looks forward to being an integral part of the yacht sales market with Knot 10 Yacht Sales.

Based in the Barnegat Bay of NJ Jim brings over 10 years of experience to your advantage. Married with kids and grandkids, he understands the family necessities on board and the handling features. Sail Boater at hart loves detail and specialties of any boat. He captains a Hunter 335 out of Island Heights NJ off the Toms River but is always dreaming of that next bigger boat. Sail or Power, there’s never a bad day on the water.
