Jay Porterfield

I joined the brokerage world 15 years ago, after managing and owning mortgage companies for two decades. It is this background that allowed me to smoothly close more than 800 vessel sales over the last 15 years.

In addition to the time I spend assisting my clients, I sail the Chesapeake Bay, race Beer Cans, and various area regatta’s. In my 45 years on the water I have sailed or powered my way in the Rhode Island-Mass-Cape area, Long Island Sound, Chesapeake Bay, Bahamas, Caribbean, West Indies, Croatian Coast from Split to Dubrovnik. Most recently, I sailed the Andaman Sea, Thailand. It is these boating experiences that can help in the difficult decision of which boat is right for you. I take great pride in my work. I find it just as enjoyable to help a client sell their boat, as well as helping a client find the perfect boat.
