Frederick E Beu
As a long-time boat and yacht owner with over 25 years of boating and living on the Chesapeake Bay, I am honored to join Knot 10 and return to the Yacht Brokerage business to help others to enjoy and appreciate the lifestyle and fulfillment of spending time on the water. I have had the privilege of significant success in serving customers and clients for over 40 years in a sales or leadership capacity within the yacht business as well as in healthcare, industrial and consulting fields. I take great pleasure and pride in thoroughly understanding the customers’ interests and representing them to achieve their objectives… buying or selling.
Based on my experience as an upper-level executive in large professional organizations – I understand the complexities of the yacht sales process and can relate very well to prospective buyers and sellers of significant valued yachts as well as smaller vessels.
Fred resides in an historic home (built in 1771) on the Corsica River in Centreville, MD, with his lovely wife Fern and their beloved Giant and Standard Schnauzers. When not helping others to enjoy the many pleasures of the boating lifestyle, they love to travel (recently completed a 2-week African safari) and remain active with snow skiing, scuba diving and life on the Chesapeake Bay. Fred also enjoys designing and building custom furniture in his private woodworking shop.
Let’s go boating…

Captain Ben Whipple
Capt. Ben Whipple grew up on the coast of Connecticut where his love and passion for boating began at a very young age. His early summers were spent out on his 17 ft Boston Whaler exploring the waters of Cape Cod and Long Island Sound.
As soon as he turned 18, Ben got his captain’s license. After moving to FL for school, Ben quickly confirmed that his true calling was being on the water. With well over a decade of experience as captain, Ben has worked for numerous private families, as well as a delivery captain navigating the US East Coast, Bahamas, Great Lakes, The Gulf, Erie and Welland Canals.
Ben has gained a vast knowledge of hands on experience with numerous brands of new and used boats in the range of 15-100ft. Now residing in Fort Lauderdale, FL with his wife and daughter, Ben cant wait to assist you in the process of purchasing or selling your next boat.
Jason Schwarz
Jason is originally from Ocean County, NJ, having enjoyed all that Barnegat Bay offers during his younger years. After raising his family in Northern New Jersey and working in the financial industry of New York for the past 25 years, Jason returns to Ocean County on a full-time basis to begin a second career as a client advisor and broker to the boating industry.
Over the past 25 years, Jason has owned and operated center console and sportfishing boats to target all of the diverse fisheries offered at the Jersey Shore. If the forecast reaches at least 40 degrees and sunny, there is a good chance he might be thinking about fishing. He brings many years of professional sales experience with a heavy emphasis on client communication, collaboration, and accountability. Although he has a successful track record of solving seven-figure sales, he is just as ambitious to work with our smallest of assets. At the same time, it’s common to see him stuffed into an engine room somewhere, lending his know-how to someone, since he has a natural curiosity to learn and do everything.
You may hire him to sell your boat, but he wants to be helpful in every way and always offers all of his experience and advice.
