This 2001 Horizon 56 is a custom built motor yacht specifically built for charters. This 4 double berth 56 is extremely well designed and built to accommodate 8 guests comfortably. She was purchased new in 2002 and has been on a strict maintenance schedule with Virgin Motor Yachts in Tortola, BVI the duration of its life in the fleet. It was then purchased in 2023 by the current owner who performed a major retrofit on the vessel. The retrofit is estimated to be around 80% complete. The vessel will require some upgrades to the veneer woodwork in the salon due to water damage caused by portlights being open during rain storm…photos to follow that show the extent of the damage. There are also cosmetic upgrades required that include refinishing interior and exterior salon teak flooring, re-upholstering the exterior seating, replacing exterior canvas bimini top, and adding some upgraded electronics.

 

The vessel is powered by twin 450hp CAT 3208TA engines (approximately 6000 Hrs each) which were serviced regularly, and oil changes performed every 200 hrs during its charter service. Generator was also serviced, including oil change, after every single charter during its charter service. A new paint job was performed above and below the water line prior to 2023 purchase of the vessel. Current owner has mechanics that have maintaining the engines since he purchased the vessel in 2023. A copy of the survey performed in 2023 on the vessel is available upon request.

 

The vessel is being sold “As-Is Where-Is” and is ready to take someone on their next adventure on the water in comfort and style. It will be difficult to find another motor yacht with this accommodation, power and amenities for the money on the market today. Vessel can be seen by appointment at The Yacht Club Marina in Palmas del Mar, Humacao, Puerto Rico. The slip is transferable and costs around $1000 a month.

Vessel Walkthrough

The salon, lower helm position and fully stocked galley are cleverly blended into the same bright and comfortable area with wrap around views to enjoy the gorgeous scenery. A few steps up, and through large glass slider is the spacious aft deck area for seated outside dining. Stairs then lead to the fly bridge with dual helm seats which commands views and space making docking and handling the yacht very easy whilst cruising around from Island to Island. 
  
 Below are four full queen berths, all with full standing headroom. There are also three heads and separate showers, two of which are en-suite. Air-conditioning throughout these yachts ensures everyone aboard will be comfortable. 
  
 Once at your chosen destination, a full width swim platform, accessed from the aft deck by a sweeping ‘sea stair’ makes for easy boarding of the dinghy, or going for a swim.
