This one-of-a kind, original owner 2001 Nor-Tech 380 is a custom designed high-performance offshore powerboat built by Nils Johnsen. ( Nor-Tech’s founder and chief designer )
A well-arranged cockpit equipped with two (2) drop-down bolster seats at the helm and portside. One of the most unique features of the boat is the hydraulic actuated convertible rear seat. The large rear conventional bench seat can almost instantly be converted into a 3 person racing bolster if conditions warrant it. (I believe this is the only boat on the planet with this feature). Aft is a padded sundeck/power dual ram actuated engine hatch. Below are bench seats port and starboard with a V-berth forward.
Another unique practical feature is the transparent Lexan electric retractable Wind Deflector. This creates a welcome calm retreat for the skipper at the helm yet disappears to accommodate the canvas cover or if a breeze is desired on a hot day.
The boat features a unique custom paint job done by Chris Dilling of Grafic EFX who is a legend in creative boat design. This is not a WRAP but a 100% airbrushed design employing both metallic, pearlescent, as well as conventional paint. It took 32 days to paint.
The engines are bullet-proof Mercruiser 500EFl with XR Drives with under 350 hours and perform like new. Given that a disproportionate amount of engine wear occurs during start-up before oil pressure builds up, these engines, from day one, each features an aircraft type pre-lube electric oil pump that brings engine oil pressure up to operating levels, lubricating all moving parts before the engine is cranked over. Engine wear is significantly reduced. Additionally, both engines have fresh water flush valves that flush out brackish water with fresh tap water after every use. The boat has been kept out of the water and on an electric lift every season since day one.

At 4200 pounds without engines or fuel, the Grady-White Islander 268 is a big, trailerable, foam-filled, self-bailing bruiser with all the amenities of a cruiser for comfortable weekend excursions. With a 28-inch interior cockpit depth, a full transom and non-skid walkaround, safety is assured. Hardcore offshore anglers will appreciate features like horizontal rod racks and cockpit toe rails, oversized through-bolted hardware and loads of tackle storage. The helm area has a helm seat and a lockable electronics box. Portside there’s a bench which converts to a single forward-facing seat for rough water passages. Under both the bench and helm seats are large and lockable dry storage areas. In the 57-square-foot aft cockpit, there are more than 300 quarts of insulated boxes with overboard drains. The starboard box has a 186-quart capacity and the portside box is divided into a smaller one for soft drinks and a larger one for the catch. Custom cushions add extra seating on top of the raised fish boxes. In the stern area, there is a molded-in bench seat, a drop-in box that can be plumbed as a livewell, and a transom door that leads to the swim platform. That platform has a standard stainless steel ladder molded flush with the platform surface when folded away. The cabin has forward V-berths, a head enclosure and a full galley complete with butane stove and refrigerator. A table between the two berths lowers to form a double berth and stows conveniently in a special compartment in the underberth storage area. A pressurized water system with sinks at the galley and in the head has a capacity of 32 gallon. Like most other Grady-Whites, the 268 is a three-piece boat consisting of a foam-filled hull, an inner liner fiberglassed to the tops of the stringer system, and a deck which is through-bolted to the inner liner. This three-piece construction allows the flexibility to build in features like fish boxes and electronics housings. The Islander 268 has a standard fuel tank of 150 gallons, while an optional auxiliary tank raises total fuel capacity to 206 gallons for extended fishing or cruising excursions. The Islander can be powered by either single or dual outboards without transom modification. Single outboards with a shaft length of 30 inches can be mounted in the center, or dual outboards with 25-inch shafts can be mounted on 28-inch centers. Hydraulic trim tabs and hydraulic steering are standard.
