Overview
Not to be mistaken for their immensely popular line of affordable cruisers and small pleasure boats Bayliner was known for, their flagship, top-of-the-line motoryacht offerings were fabricated at a dedicated plant in the Arlington suburb of Seattle, Washington, a plant and workforce later used to build the beautiful 38' to 54' Meridian yachts.
Thus the Bayliner motoryacht is not the "Bayliner" some folks may dismiss out of hand, like ignoring a Cadillac because GM also makes Chevys, and those who do so don't know what they are missing, because these boats were extremely solidly made, and at this age and older will routinely survey as well or better than many of their more purebred peers.
The 3587 model has an amazingly capable layout for a family, with two full sized staterooms forward and aft as well as a third berth portside forward. The main salon living space is all on one level, galley, dinette, sofa and even a lower helm station, with short staircases to the master stateroom with ensuite head and shower stall aft, and the stateroom, berth and pull-out shower wet-head forward. A perfect setup for three generations of mariners, grandparents after, parents and kids forward.
Five steps up from the salon is the full-beam, fully enclosed cockpit with hard top that communicates openly with the bridge a mere four steps higher, featuring L-seating for six as well as pedestal seats for the captain and co-captain... so the whole gang can be together while underway whether above on the bridge or below in the salon.
Not to waste available square footage for activities, two walkways extend forward from the cockpit to the sun-pad equipped foredeck, great for sunbathing, enjoying the breeze at anchor, watching the fireworks or wetting a line or two.
Powered by a pair of 300hp closed-circuit cooled, fuel injected big-block Mercruiser inboards you will have a top speed of about 28 knots and cruise at around 18, with generous tankage weekend and week-long excursions should be no problem.

Manufacturer Provided Description
The Bayliner 3587 Motoryacht offers the spaciousness, convenience, and privacy that experienced cruising enthusiasts demand. A roomy aft cabin design provides comfortable liveaboard cruising. Standard dual-helm stations allow for an extended cruising season, and a large aft deck makes for convenient dockside entertaining. Large salon windows let sunlight into the expansive interior and a fully equipped galley adjacent to the salon is convenient for entertaining aboard. The companionway leads forward to two private double staterooms and a complete head compartment. The aft owner's stateroom offers an island double berth, dressing table, drawer storage, hanging locker, and its own head with separate stall shower. Molded-in steps lead to the bridge deck where wraparound lounge seating and plenty of open space allow comfortable viewing while underway.
