Overview
The Luhrs Tournament 342 was an affordable flybridge convertible that targeted the family-oriented fishermen. The modified-V hull has 15 degrees of transom deadrise with a warped plane for improved acceleration and provides a stable low-speed fishing platform.
The cockpit sports a built-in fish box and live well, and up above the fully enclosed flybridge is equipped with a hard top and has bench seating forward of the helm console so the family or guests can enjoy the view and converse while underway as well.
Below deck, the interior is clean, bright and wood-free but for the accent trim, and is well suited for weekend getaways. This boat has the later model floor plan with a single stateroom, which allows for a more open salon and galley arrangement, and one clever innovation is hidden air intakes located beneath the forward bridge overhang that provide cabin ventilation.
The current owner has maintained the vessel well, canvas and upholstery in good condition, with modern navigation electronics and no signs of abuse, this is definitely not one of the many fished-out examples that can be found here and there.
Fuel, water and waste capacities of 300, 60 and 40 gallons respectively allow for decent range and endurance for overnight adventures or coastal cruising, and the full circuit closed cooled 454 cubic inch big-block Crusader V8 engines enable the boat to cruise at 19?20 knots and reach a top speed of around 28 knots.
