of today’s express-boat market. Built on a modified-V hull with cored hullsides, the interior of the 288 Vista is a little larger than other boats in her class thanks to a wide 9-foot, 8-inch beam. The layout—which differs little from other mid-cabin cruisers—sleeps six with double berths fore and aft and a convertible Ultraleather settee in the main cabin. The mid-cabin area is a tight fit, but the head is large and the galley has the refrigerator located above the microwave so you don’t have to bend down to reach it. For after- hours privacy, curtains separate the sleeping areas from the main cabin. Topside, the cockpit is configured with a U-shaped lounge aft, refreshment center with slide-out cooler, removable table, and an electric engine hatch. Note that the double helm seat has a flip- up bolster for the driver. An extended swim platform, aluminum radar arch, tilt steering wheel, and transom shower were standard.
