Mechanically, she’s in mint condition, and aesthetically her interior looks modern and new, driving guests to sincerely ask if it’s a new boat because that’s just how great it shows.
With a draft of just 4 feet, you can get in and out of some amazing locations, and this boat is just perfect for places like the Bahamas or Outer Banks.
On the lower deck you’ll find her 3 staterooms, galley, living room, crew quarters, 4 bathrooms and toy garage - leaving an open and modern space on the upper deck that is absolutely perfect for throwing a day party with your family and friends.
As you travel, get there fast and efficiently using the yacht’s Arneson drives and newly serviced props, driven by her 1500hp pair of MTUs. With a fresh overhaul on the stbd engine and a perfect port engine, she hits her top speed of 40kts in an incredibly short time, cruises at 28kt, and throws up a huge rooster tail as she does which will have every boat you pass by pulling out their phones and your guests posing for photos. Or, if you want to slow it down you can run at 7kt on a single screw and burn less than 10gph.
As a business owner and pilot, the owner has kept an open checkbook for taking care of Double Down with aircraft-like attention to detail and maintenance schedules. Engine heat exchanges were done at 1000 hrs and both generators' heat exchanges were done in 2022. The top gray wrap is scheduled to be re-applied by the end of February, and $20K was just spent in winter maintenance, bottom, and props…you will not need to haul and do the bottom for 2 years thanks to her dual HD4 Hull Shield system.
The starboard engine was overhauled about 150 hours ago…all new bearings, new injectors, new idler gear, and all cylinders and camshafts checked out well.
The port generator has approximately 7600 hours and the starboard generator has approximately 6700 hours. Both run flawlessly with no leaks and consistent output. Standard maintenance has been done on both, and the entire boat can be powered with ACs running and being on just one generator.
Double Down shows great and would make an awesome personal boat or great platform for day/weekend charter business.
