Welcome to Bliss, a rare 2008 Meridian 490 Pilothouse Motoryacht, one of the most popular and successful boat designs ever built. 2008 was the last year they were made, so Bliss will always be the youngest and newest 490 you will find. Not only is Bliss fully dialed in and kept in pristine condition, she also has some truly wonderful custom features that make her an exceptional, one-of-a-kind luxury motoryacht.

For starters, Bliss has all the most sought after options, including a Glendenning CableMaster with wireless remote to easily handle your shore power cable, a SidePower dual station bow thruster to make docking a breeze, a phenomenal Fusion Bluetooth stereo system with dual station remote control, fully electronic engine controls for whisper-smooth operation, a powerful 4000 watt inverter to power AC, icemaker, oven, refrigerator and all outlets while at anchor without the need to run the generator, a very convenient Reverso oil change system that is plumbed to engines, transmissions AND the generator, and of course a 13.5kw Onan Genset (1433 hrs).

In addition to these important options, Bliss was fitted with a $40,000 suite of fabulous all-new Garmin electronics in 2022 with a stunning array of features.

Bliss is the only 490 with a beautiful and highly functional flip up/flip down teak dining table in the aft deck (see pics). This table was professionally designed and built by a local craftsman, and sits on massively sturdy hi-grade locking stainless hinges. Four folding, stowable teak chairs add to the setup to provide the most elegant dining accommodations while at the dock or at anchor. This built-in fixture makes the aft deck feel like an entire room addition to the boat. You’d be hard pressed to find an aft dining setup this elegant on virtually any other pilothouse yacht under 60 feet.

As with all yachts from the late 2000’s, Bliss has the usual TV cabinet designed to accommodate the old style large, bulky TV’s. Bliss has been fitted with a modern flatscreen SmartTV, Samsung soundbar and DVD player, and unlike other Meridian 490’s, the TV is fitted with locking hinges that allow it to flip up, revealing custom storage shelving fitted in the cabinet behind, adding substantially to the galley storage where other yachts typically have this space covered and inaccessible. In fact, many other cabinets throughout the galley and salon have been meticulously fitted with additional custom shelving to further expand space for provisions.

As has been popular with this model, the master stateroom and “bunk room” have been combined to make for a more expansive and luxurious master stateroom.

A connected SmartBoat, Bliss carries her own private wifi hospot with truly unlimited and unrestricted high speed data (no data caps or speed throttling), including proprietary hardware and a very affordable subscription that will allow you to stream music and TV, and access blazing fast internet nearly anywhere you cruise. Don’t waste your time with the typically horrible or non-existent wifi and old-school cable at most marinas, and take your music and TV along when at sea for a long extended cruise, or even when anchored out in a quiet remote cove. This 24/7 unlimited service also allows you to remotely monitor Bliss’s security cameras and temperature sensors located throughout the yacht to inform you if there is any activity on or around the boat or if the interior or engine room get too hot or too cold (see screen shot of temp readings in pics), while you are away. You will find Bliss’s unique system to be far superior to, easier to use than, and considerably more affordable than Starlink.

Perhaps of most importance, though, are the engines. Bliss has the highly regarded and sought after fully electronic Cummins QSB 5.9 smokeless engines, including the wonderful upgrade to 380hp each (330hp was standard). They sip fuel, making a whopping 3-4 miles per gallon attainable at trawling speed, while still offering effortless cruise at 18 knots with great economy. Engines have been babied and spoiled with constant service and, like the rest of the yacht, will survey in absolutely perfect condition. Full Aftercooler service was just performed in 2023.

Simply put, everything on Bliss works as it should as she has been maintained to the highest standards. In addition, everything from the gel coat to the interior woodwork, the outdoor cushions to the indoor fabrics, glisten with pride. Among all 490 Pilothouse Motoryachts, you won’t find a cleaner, nor a better equipped, nor a newer, nor an easier to buy (buy the LLC and own the boat) version of this yacht on or even off the market today.

Layout
The Meridian 490 Pilothouse has long been regarded as the perfect long range cruising yacht in her size range with plenty of space to accommodate extended stays aboard. The pilothouse station is huge with excellent visibility to run in air conditioned comfort, and with Bliss's new Garmin electronics suite you have all the latest technology at your fingertips.
Lower deck accommodations include a large master stateroom forward with ensuite head and bathtub/shower, twin hanging closets and an additional settee area with more closet space that can act as a 3rd guest bunkroom as needed (but makes for a large master stateroom when additional sleeping capacity not needed). The VIP stateroom is midships with a double berth and 2nd head across the companionway. The companionway also features a built in washer/dryer combo unit.
The main level is very open feeling with windows all around and seating for 6 in 3 chairs and a sofa with hi/lo dining table and flat screen TV. The galley is U shaped and has a stand up fridge/freezer, trash compactor, oven, microwave, icemaker, 2 well sink and abundant storage.
