Descriptions
Description
The 44 Aft Cockpit Cruiser shares the same performance hull with the 44 Deck Saloon, but comes in a lower profile. The boat was drawn by noted designer Glenn Henderson and sports some rather intricate features not usually found on cruising boats of this size. First is a "Bow Hollow", which increases the flow of water in the forward sections and increases hull speed. Second is a "Stern Reflex", which allows a flatter exit wake and less turbulence. This also increases performance. Hunter has learned much from the recent IOR boats and has incorporated some into cruising boats to enhance their performance without sacrificing comfort and the ease of sailing.
Accommodations
Forward guest cabin with a large double berth with innerspring mattress, a cedar-lined hanging locker and cabinet with shelves. The forward ensuite head has a corian vanity, sink, mirror, hot and cold pressure water, Jabsco marine toilet and separate enclosed shower.
The Main Salon is big and bright with a stunning 6'8" head room throughout. There is a single settee to starboard with storage under and outboard. Opposite to port is the U-shaped dinette which converts to a large double berth. At the aft end of the starboard settee is the Navigation Station. Opposite to port is the large, fully equipped galley.
Continuing aft on the starboard side is the entrance to the Owners' cabin with a queen sized centerline berth with innerspring mattress, lounge chair, bookshelf, cabinet, cedar-lined hanging locker and reading lights. The Main head has access from both the aft cabin and the Main salon. This has a Corian vanity with sink, hot and cold pressure water, mirror, storage under and outboard, fresh water electric flush toilet with macerator and a separate shower stall.
