One of the first big outboard center consoles, the Ocean Master 31 is a semi-custom canyon runner. Heavily constructed on a solid fiberglass hull, Ocean Masters have a reputation for being overbuilt. Originally launched in 1975, the 31 was designed to fish the canyons and compete with much larger sport fish boats of that era. Her decades of production stand as real-world proof of her enduring popularity. The deck layout boasts 90 square feet of fishing space aft of the console as well as a casting platform forward—enough room for two or three anglers to work without bumping elbows.
With her generous fuel capacity, long runs offshore ranging from 300 to 400 miles are often the norm. The hull has been updated several times over the years, and Ocean Master builds the boat with as many as 20 layers of hand-laid fiberglass.
A solid offshore performer, repowered with twin Evinrude 250 HO outboards tops out at over 40 knots.
It is known by many that Ocean Master makes one of the most rugged, durable fishing platforms in the world. This particular 31 Super Console with twin 2018 Evinrude 250 HOs, has been consistently upgraded and equipped with all the best by her owner. This Ocean Master 31 needs nothing.
