Overview

NOT YOUR TYPICAL BENETEAU

THIS IS A WORLD CLASS CIRCUMNAVIGATING YACHT!

(photos and more details are coming, just listed for the new year)

This 48 foot boat has proven herself and been great for fast passages and comfortable accommodation on anchor. The VERY CUSTOM hard dodger keeps you dry and warm on passage, even in the worst of weather. After the installation of the hard dodger and the side curtains, The owner reports he has not used foul weather gear except to go ashore! She is capable of a 200-mile-day without drama and without beating the crew to death.

There are so many custom cruising amenities it is hard to describe.  Completely independent and self-contained.  She has an unbelievable amount of dry storage through the addition of under floor inserts in the bilge to keep everything above the bottom and any water that might be there. This boat is a Bruce Farr designed racer/cruiser with 3 cabins,2 heads and a starboard side galley. It has the short rig and shallower 7ft 7 in draft.

She is a ONE OWNER BOAT and has sailed around the world TWICE!  She has seen many exotic anchorages and the new owner of this incredible boat will have that opportunity to do the same.

Owner off on a new adventure so some lucky sailor will benefit from his effort making this a very special boat.

Additional Information

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This yacht was originally delivered with 110 volt AC wiring, which allows for the easy conversion to 220 volts if desired. This is because the wiring harness for 110 volts requires a larger gauge wire than would be installed for a 220 volt system. So a 110 system can be changed to 220, but not the other way around! (For a given load, the lower the voltage, the larger the diameter of wire required.) That is why if you buy a European 220 AC volt boat, you cannot economically convert it to USA voltages, but a European can buy and convert a USA wired boat.

The generator is currently wired to provide 5 KW at 110 volt 60 cycles (USA standard power setup). To change it to a 220 volt 50 cycle system, change the windings on the generator (simple and quick) and the dip switch settings of the voltage regulator to provide 50 cycle output. The transformer can also be converted to take 110 volts and output 220 volt by swapping the input and output lugs. Of course, all of the power outlets would need to be changed to the appropriate plug configuration.
