Mechanical Background
The recent engine work reflects two different service situations. The starboard engine had already received extensive service from Engle Marine, including new exhaust manifolds. The port engine was scheduled for similar manifold replacement but experienced a hydro-lock before that work could be completed, resulting in the more comprehensive rebuild. With the port rebuild now complete and successfully sea trialed, substantial recent mechanical work has been completed on both engines.
Why This 340 Stands Out
- Desirable MerCruiser 8.1S Horizon power
- Professionally rebuilt port engine
- Extensive recent starboard engine service
- New exhaust manifolds on both engines
- Major recent cooling, ignition, fuel, and accessory-system work
- Successful post-rebuild sea trials completed
- New AGM batteries and updated dash gauges
- Popular Sea Ray express cruiser layout
- Spacious cockpit designed for entertaining
- Comfortable cabin with overnight accommodations
- Forward berth, mid-cabin sleeping area, galley, enclosed head, and salon seating
The Sea Ray 340 Sundancer remains one of the most recognizable express cruisers in its class. With major recent mechanical work completed on both engines, a professionally rebuilt port engine, extensive starboard service, updated electrical and dash components, and the proven Sundancer layout, this 340 presents a compelling opportunity for a buyer looking for space, power, and significant recent mechanical investment already behind them.
