Overview

Mangas is a two owner boat, both of which are USCG certified captains that diligently maintained this boat. The Beneteau First 36s7 is a refined racer/cruiser sailboat that is well suited to race the buoys and/or sailing in light summer winds to a pleasant anchorage for a swim off her ease to board stern.  It is a great for day sailing or overnights, complete for weekends on the bay with full galley, large head, and spacious V berth and stern berths. I delivered this boat from her original location in Florida and have since sailed to many ports in the northern Chesapeake. It is a pleasure to cruise and will get you there fast.  Her modern interior is designed by french industrial architect Phillippe Starck is completed with a new larger air conditioning unit for comfort at the dock.  Her light interior is enhanced by the richly varnished pearwood. This boat was custom made in the Carolinas to the previous owners specs. I have photos of the production of this boat from the factory.

Her accommodations include both a forward cabin that sleeps 2 in a berth measuring over 7 ft long and 5ft 7 inch wide at the shoulders.  Her aft cabin is 6ft 7inch by 5 ft 7 inches.  A large hanging locker is located in the aft cabin for storage. All opening ports and hatches have been replaced and sealed so you can now see out of them. The icebox also has a new refrigeration unit that was installed this year.

When at anchor her teak covered cockpit seats can be shaded by a awning that zips into the dodger that has all new isinglass installed this year.  Additional cockpit comforts are custom made cushions that can be put in place and then conveniently stowed when at sail.  New control lines run aft to the cockpit and a new Harken traveler system is positioned well forward for ease of handling while performance sailing, yet out of the way while at dock/anchor.  The pedestal has been replaced with one that fits a new NavPod integrated Garmin echoMAP 74dv GPS and updated Nexus Garmin instruments. Her main sail and genoa have all been updated with Sobstab dacron products and an asymmetrical spinnaker includes a snuffer sock for ease of dousing, and reach pole is available for long reaches and downwind sailing with Genoa if desired. Also included is a number 3 with battens and storm jib.

Mangas is a new listing and is currently in the water in middle River, Maryland available for your inspection.
