RARE PILOTHOUSE 43
HUGE PRICE REDUCTION OF $19,500!!!
Priced at $40,000 or Best Offer!
This is a very solid cruising boat with the pilothouse layout that allows for inside steering. Incredible bright airy cabin due to the super size windows . She has more storage space available than any other boat this size we have ever seen. She is priced lower than other Slocums and quite the steal. She needs a few items fixed or updated and the owner has no time. Items needing replacing include air conditioning, refrigeration and the brightwork refinished. She needs some deck work as the photos indicate. So if you are handy and want a great unique boat to live aboard or go on adventures, this is a great opportunity to get a strong offshore capable boat for a really good price.

Descriptions
Starting at the forward end of the boat, the forward cabin has over under single berths to port and drawers and a hanging locker to starboard. All of the wood in this cabin is clean and finished . Next aft is the head with separate shower stall and molded fiberglass. Opposite the head is another large louvered door hanging locker. On this same level is the galley to port (see description) and a dinette to starboard. Going up one step is the main saloon. There is abundant stowage under the cabin sole on the centerline (see photo). There is a big settee/dinette to port. This converts to a double berth and there are big lockers outboard of the dinette for gear (see photo). Opposite on the starboard side is the inside steering station with high low helmsman's seat. The electrical panel is outboard and there are a full set of stowage lockers almost 6' long under the electrical panels. Aft on the starboard side is a quarter berth that provides instant access to the cockpit. Aft to port is the owner's stateroom with lockers hanging locker and drawer stowage. The large windows in the saloon let in plenty of light and the step down dinette opposite the galley offers nice morning privacy. The boat is equipped with Lunaire airconditioning which is not operational at this time.
Galley
The galley down in the pilothouse model affords a nice sized U-shaped galley. She has a propane 2 burner stove with oven, hot and cold pressure water and refrigerator and freezer compartments. The refrigerating system is a 12 volt Adler Barbour but with several large holding plates (not to be confused with the wafer style style). The system needs service at this time and is well worth repairing.
Sails and rigging
The mast and boom were made by Isomat and the 2 spreader mast is keel stepped.
Vertical clearance is 60 feet to top of mast
Sail Area: Main 337 ft ² with sail cover and Dutchman system
150 Genoa 706 ft ²
Stay Sail 165 ft ²

Not much in electronics but she does have a Garmin 541s plotter and VHF radio. Stereo with speakers and basic compass.
She was outfitted with an older autopilot but it is in-op and not repairable.
