Overview

1995 Tayana 48 Center Cockpit

Beautiful teak interior with matching upholstery and fabrics, 6’8” headroom!

Just about everything on this boat has been updated/upgraded.

It has been completely gone through and outfitted for true blue water, long time cruising

and/or circumnavigating. The current owners have been meticulous with, rebuilding,

maintenance, and upgrading ever since they bought her. They have been sailing all throughout

the Bahamas but family needs require them to sell and move back ashore. This is NOT a dock

condo. This is not a high production factory made vessel, this is a solid Bob Perry designed

sailing machine, hand built in the very respected Taiwanese boat yard (Ta Yang). It has all solid,

strong stainless steel throughout; not plastic or cheap thin metal. The hull is solid hand laid

fiberglass. Toe rails, cabin trim, and the interior have solid teak throughout.

Tayana build quality is often compared Hylas, Oyster, Taswell, and Passport.

If you are looking for a solid proven blue water, high end constructed vessel that has been

maintained, with many upgrades, has a comfortable, functional, esthetically pleasing interior

layout and sails like a dream, THIS is your boat!

Accommodations:

As you walk down the dock you see the beautiful Tayana 48 that stands above the others. The

hull is blue with white cabin trim and beige side decks. The custom hardtop with dark blue

Sunbrella side and aft enclosure look like it was original.

As you board from the side decks and boarding gates you appreciate the wide side decks, high

life lines and teak cabin top handrails making fore and aft maneuverability safe and easy. You

can walk completely around the outside with ease.

Aft are teaks seats port and starboard and a large storage box mounted behind the cockpit.

The aft boarding gate leads you to the swim platform with a folding swim ladder and a hot and

cold shower.

Step into the enclosed cockpit the inlay synthetic teak looks great. The helm is centered with a

folding teak table forward. While sitting at the helm there is a 360 degree panoramic view and

all sailing and engine instrumentation is within easy reach. The companionway doors are

louvered teak doors with a sliding overhead hatch. Down a few steps you enter the main cabin.

To port and around the corner is the galley with inboard and outboard features. In the galley

there are engine compartment hatches. All the way aft is the master cabin with a center line

queen berth, beautiful cabinets, drawers, and hanging lockers, a starboard side settee and

private head access with a separate shower stall, vanity, and an electric head.

Back to the main cabin and along the port side is a “L” shaped settee with outboard storage and

a dinette table with folding leaf. To starboard and aft is the large navigation station and

electrical panel. The seat is fixed but rotates. There is ample storage and three desk top

storage areas and cabinet underneath. Along the port side is another settee with outboard

storage.

All the way forward and through a private doorway is the guest cabin with a Pullman style port

side berth, ample storage cabinets and drawer and a private forward head with Separate

shower stall, vanity, and manual toilet.

The interior offers excellent natural light and ventilation with multiple opening ports and

screens and overhead hatches. All teak cabinet wood work, teak and holly sole and matching

fabrics make the boat feel luxurious.
