Overview
The immensely popular Glenn Henderson designed Hunter 41 is famous for its balance of sailing ability, large ergonomic cockpit and a well thought out, spacious interior.
"Next Hitch" is one of the finest and best maintained examples of this yacht you will find anywhere, and she is also among the most recent model years on the market, so you would be hard pressed to find a newer one.
Next Hitch is the rarer, harder to find aft cockpit version that many sailors prefer due to the hull design’s somewhat lower windage for easier docking. Next Hitch also features the desirable shoal draft winged keel which will allow you access to more anchorages.
The owner (a seasoned and highly knowledgeable tug and ferry captain) and his wife have lovingly maintained her to perfection while enjoying both her wonderful cruising abilities and impressive racing performance with the whole family aboard. They have refreshed all soft goods, canvas and rigging to as-new condition, and every square inch sparkles with incredible attention to detail. Next Hitch shows like a brand new boat.
The large and spacious cockpit has a convenient walk-through transom. Side decks are wide and comfortable. Two staterooms and two heads provide plenty of space for family and friends.
The unique Hunter "B&R" rig eliminates the backstay which allows for a bigger main. The upper shrouds attach to the widest point on the hull, while the lower shrouds attach near the cabin top. This opens the side decks up for easy access to the bow. Also, the traveller is mounted on the stainless Hunter arch which keeps the cockpit clear of lines.
