The cockpit and full camper enclosure provide additional usable living space throughout much of the boating season, and the Westerbeke generator allows the boat's major AC systems to be used while away from the dock.

A Lot of Boat for the Money

The standout feature of this Maxum is the amount of recent investment. Both 7.4L MerCruiser Horizons underwent major rebuild work in 2025, while the air conditioning systems, refrigerator, head, canvas and Isinglass, windlass, and A/C water pump have all been replaced or substantially updated since 2024.

For a buyer looking for a spacious express cruiser with traditional inboard power, generator, air conditioning, full camper canvas, and numerous recent upgrades, this 3700 SCR deserves a serious look.

I’d lead the YachtWorld/Boat Trader ad with the engine rebuilds. On a 2000 model, that is probably the single biggest thing separating this boat from competing 3700 SCRs. I also deliberately disclosed the non-working Furuno radar rather than leaving it ambiguous.
